The Sales Tour

TIME FOR SALES... TIME TO GET IT!

Pictures: my own and source.

For some of us it means: "Go and get what you wanted!" and for some others: "horror...too many people everywhere"... That's why i'm writing this post, about a "SALES TOUR" I recommend in Geneva.. So if you don't want to walk around trying to find the good deals... read this post and go straight where you need to!

I personally love the little stores in the Old Town, some of them so hidden that you don't even know they exist! Shopping in the Old Town is probably one of the most pleasant shopping tours you can make. I start my tour in Rita & Zia. You probably know their beautiful necklaces and other jewelry, but they also have clothes from American Vintage and Reiko, right now -50% in both brands!

Still in Rue Grand Rue, we have the Zadig & Voltaire Stock. I think they probably have the greatest deals over there. Try the Must Have Tunisiens with skull, peace or butterfly prints.... Everything from -30 to -50% off.

Right in front, Living Tradition offers you one of a kind design items at also pretty interesting prices. Drawings, carpets, furnitures, candles... Take advantage of the special prices and give your home a new look! Don't forget to visit their second boutique a few meters from there...

Still in that area, you find Preziosa, they have a wide offer of Kartell lamps and chairs. Now is when you should invest in those colorful lamps you always wanted to have in your living room!

Time to take a brake, go to Rozzel and get their homemade ice cream... If you are not one of those who would kill for an ice cream.. go to The Laughing Teapot and enjoy a tea time relaxing moment.

Continue the tour toward la Clemence, you might bump into someone over there... always crowded and always waiting for a table to be free... good luck if it's sunny! Right there, you find Stuff, and yes, you might find some interesting stuff too...

One of the destinations I totally recommend is Klima. If you are a lucky one you will find the Ash Sneakers almost half price! I felt for a Faith Connexion perfecto I was looking for... They still have a few ones left!

What about the little ones? We also have clothes and accessories for the kids, and that's what I call A DEAL! They grow up fast, so you better take advantage of those -70% you will find in places such as Pied à Terre, store dedicated to shoes, bags and a few clothes too.

While I head to the center, I stop by La Muse, a premium fashion destination! Women's designers clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. Fall in love with the Miranda Kerr's favorite shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood and find Tiffany Rowe necklaces!

In Rue du Marché, mostly all the stores offer interesting discounts. Going in there depends on your mood...

¿Feeling like escaping from the center? then take Rue d'Italie and visit Sandro and Maje. There again, it's the best time of the year to buy those dresses and pants we wanted but could not afford their original price...

What about lunch? I like going to Pain Quotidien in Boulevard Helvétique... Love their Hummus tartines and Mimosa Cocktail!

Almost done for today.... but the last stop is probably one of my favorite fashion spot in town... EastSide! They opened a few months ago, and their collections inspired from the New York Soho style has made this concept store the new trendiest place in town! We all love their Scotch & Soda and Surperdry selection, and what about their skulls ballerinas?? -30% in almost everything! Also, discover their new Twenty Violets Beach Bags while you enjoy their  "already popular in town" syrups and homemade cookies..

Tribute to the exceptional women

"Fall seven times, stand up eight".  ~ Japanese Proverb

Nathalie and Paola, you can feel LIFE by looking at them!
Pictures: Source.

This is not a feminist post where men will feel like they should have never born or anything like that... This post is dedicated to all those women who know what falling in life means, who fight every day to make their dreams come true and find their strength from within themselves. This is what Uzume Spirit philosophy is based about.

Femmes de Paix Collection

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to meet Paola Limonta, Managing Director of Uzume Spirit. I could feel this positive, motivating and friendly vibe just by looking at her. Smiling, kind, close, we grabbed some coffee at the trendy BG café in town... It was more than an interview, it was talking to a friend, exchanging our points of view in life, and learning about  how two different generations fight for a common reason: the desire to succeed and be happy in life.

Carry the "Femmes de Paix" with you

Women with the Nobel Price Laureat Tribute

One of my favorite... Indian Women tribute

The Uzume team is made by Nathalie, creative jeweler, and Paola, manager, translator and visual artist. They combined both backgrounds so they could offer what today is called Uzume Spirit. The main objective of their collections is to pay tribute to women who, in the past as well as in the present, inspire us with their legacy. Their "12Femmes d'Exception Collection" for example. Audrey, Marie, Sampat Pal, Aung San, Cléopatre, Simone... Their creations relate the personality, quality and strength of these women, whose names are engraved on their creations as a sign of gratitude.

Bracelet entirely made of silver: engraved medallion, little chain and clasp.
A tribute to Audrey Hepburn: American actress, muse of Givenchy and Goodwill Ambassador for Unicef.

I consider myself a total devoted to the Indian community, I work with Fundación Vicente Ferrer in Anantapur helping them develop their children and women based projects. Therefore, I was happily surprised when Paola told me their work with India is also very strong as they created the "Sautoir en Onyx" printing the Indian women names who struggle for the Indian women rights.

Innovative, pioneer, contemporain... Uzume Spirit has something for all of us: Inspiring, Motivating, but also Revealing! I love their "Bracelets Coquins....they come with a code that links you to an erotic novel you can read in their site... Why not? It's all about "Grey" anyway right?

Also, the tribute to the exceptional women can be made with their bags and other accessories!

Building my "home sweet home" with Maja De Silva

Pictures: Source.

"Home Sweet Home" ... true, you always feel more comfortable and at ease when you are at your own home! But what if you have to live abroad for a while? Will you find your comfortable place at a hotel room or "aparthotel"? I recently met Maja de Silva, Interiors and Art designer, who knows everything about "making you feel like at home" even if it's just temporary.
Maja de Silva. Interior Art Designer

You end your journey and you only dream about one thing (a part from the nice rosé glass by the lake at this time of the year of course...) and that is: going home and finding your inner peace. That place can be different from each other. Some of us find it on the balcony, reading a book and enjoying the last few rays of sunlight. Some others find it on the couch, just laying down and stop thinking. We all need that place where we find, in one way or another, peace.

Maja de Silva, originally from Poland, always had that strong need to design, decorate, and make places look beautiful. "I love everything that has to do with design - materials, textures, colors, being able to select and put everything together - it's just fabulous . Design is also important to me because when I come back home, I want to feel it's my space. In a sense, I want my home to be me." MDS.

When it comes to building interiors, Maja knows exactly what to do, as the first thing she does is getting to know the client, studying the client's needs and making them possible. As an expat, Maja knows the importance of feeling like at home from far away. "
What makes the job so special is not the quantity of projects, but the amazing people you get to work with. And so I'm always happy to start my journey..." MDS.
